Ubuntu 11.04 when installed for the furst time load Ubuntu New Desktop which looks like a mobile device with left task bar and a Seach box. any way i am not a fan of this interface and always i prefer conventional desktop with start button , then menu etc etc
Ubuntu confused me little with this interface but i managed it shortly. To go back to your favourite ubuntu classic interface follow the simple 3 steps
logout your ubuntu session ( top rigt exit button)
before next login select ubuntu classic below on right end of the panel
login to ubuntu
Niw you will see Classic Ubuntu GNOMe desktop
