How to force quit an application in MAC OS X

Select the “Frozen” application.

Go to Apple Menu > Choose ” Force Quit Finder ”

Choose the application that shows NOT RESPONDING and then click “Relaunch”.

Please note that there is a short cut key to open this window : Command+Option+Escape.
