Reliace Netconnect With ZTE M880 on Linux

most recent Linux Distros like Fedor a 12 , Ubuntu9.10 are shipped with all industy standard devices support

Here in india Reliance supply ZTE Devices which are not yet common in the market

i happen to face an ZTE M880 Netconnect dongle connected to an Atom Based laptop running on Ubuntu 9.10 and didi  a lot og googling to make it run

the steps i did is quoted below to enable Interbet with the said one

First List out the Device

as root

[root@fedora12 user1]# lsusb

See the Under lined Line
Here it is a Huawei device  , see the Blue is Vendor Id and Red one is Product ID
Now we need to add this device to our kernel
]# sudo modprobe usbserial vendor=0x12d1 product=0×1001
……
Now almost all Desktops Detect the Modem and Start dialing from Network manager
unless go for wvdial
First install wvdial
]#yum install wvdial
After this  configure wvdial.conf using tool wvdialconf
]#wvdialconf
This will write /etc/wvdialconf.conf
Edit this file and Add User ID,Password excacly as your 10 Digit Mobile Number
and For Connection
goto Console and Dial
]#wvdial
All Done PC will now connect to the Internet
