What is IPv6

IPV6 is the short form of Internet Protocol Version 6 which is supposed to be the next generation protocal over IPV4, As the requirement of Computer devices grow exponentially so the need of IP addresses, IPV4 is a 32 bit assressing system and there by

possible count of IP address = 2 ^32= 4294967296 (4.3 billion )

where IPV6 is a 128 bit addressing system developed by the Internet Engineering Task Force,(IETF)

which results in

2^128=3.4028236692093846346337460743177e+38 (three hundred and forty trillion),

and the difference comes around -4294967292.5971763307906153653663 , this much additional IP Addresses can be possible with the launch of IPV6

a typical IPV6 address looks like

2001:db8:ffff:1:201:02ff:fe03:0405
